Location: Richland County, South Carolina
Description: The person in this position will direct the Office of Career and Technology Education at the South Carolina Department of Education to include programmatic components and business industry partnerships, along with fiscal, personnel, and professional development activities of the office with documented evidence. Lead the development, implementation, and management of electronic systems used to disseminate and collect Local Education Agency (LEA) local plans and progress reports. Provide technical assistance and monitoring of department and district programs to ensure compliance with state, federal and South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) policy and regulations pertaining to Career Technology Education (CTE). Coordinate State Department of Education Career and Technical Education and work-based learning initiatives with other relevant constituents: districts, business and industry partners, colleges and universities, and other state agencies. Lead the development and planning of a statewide Career and Technology Education Leadership Team (advisory council) for the purpose of evaluating and refining the CTE Program of Study and Career Pathways. Monitor financial and personnel management activities to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing Career and Technical Education. Develop and monitor budget for all state and federal funds flowing through the Office of Career Technology Education (OCTE). This includes budget allocations to LEAs, Technical Colleges, and others. Lead state and federal reporting for OCTE to include the strategic plan and state plan. Develop, coordinate, and monitor the performance standards and measures for Career and Technology Education (CATE) programs.
Salary: $66,892.00 - $123,763.00
