States are leading to improve America’s education system. With greater flexibility under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), states are crafting innovative policies to strengthen early childhood education, teacher preparation, and career readiness among others. Working together, state education leaders are committed to creating a more equitable education system for all students.
The States Leading campaign spotlights best practices and stories of progress. This initiative is supported by the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), the Education Commission of the States (ECS), the Foundation for Excellence in Education (ExcelinEd), the Hunt Institute, the National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE), the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) and the National Governors Association (NGA).
