CCSSO and the Asia Society Release Book on Global Competence

CCSSO, the Asia Society Partnership for Global Learning, and the Smithsonian will host a release of Educating for Global Competence: Preparing Our Youth to Engage the World on Wednesday, April 27 from is 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery. The release will be accompanied by a discussion about educating students for global competence, using the framework developed as part of CCSSO's EdSteps initiative.

CCSSO Executive Director Gene Wilhoit will moderate a panel discussion about the importance of infusing global competence in schools to prepare students to compete and collaborate in an increasingly interconnected world. Panelists include author Veronica Boix Mansilla, Principal Investigator, Interdisciplinary Studies Project, Project Zero, Harvard Graduate School of Education, author Anthony Jackson, Asia Society Vice President of Education and Stephanie Norby, Director of the Smithsonian Center for Education and Museum Studies.
