California Attorney General Releases Report on Student Privacy
On November 2, California Attorney General Kamala Harris released a report that highlights best practices for the education technology industry to ensure student privacy is protected. The report, "Ready for School: Recommendations for the Ed Tech Industry to Protect the Privacy of Student Data," was a result of engagement with education technology providers, policymakers, consumer advocates and educators. The report outlines how the education technology companies can collect and use student information while protecting the rights of students in California.
